1. Take some time out.
Take advantage of our evening and Sunday appointments to gather all your
bridesmaids together and have fun trying on and choosing your bridesmaid
dresses. Make the most of gathering all your best friends and favourite
family members in one place.
2. Remember ordering time scales.
It takes between 12 and 16 weeks to order your bridesmaid’s gowns. Unless
you have little ones, who may change size, order as soon as you can
to avoid the mad rush in the last few weeks.
3. Alterations.
Most bridesmaids will need a little alteration on their gown. Factor
this in as you will need to allow 3 - 6 weeks, depending on the time
of year, for the seamstress to make it a perfect fit.
4. Roles & Responsibilities.
Be clear about what you would like from each of your bridesmaids during
the run-up to your big day - you may want some help organising things,
they will be only to glad to be part of this exciting time. On the
day itself, let them know who you want to take your flowers and straighten
your veil in the church.
5. Jewellery.
Take elements of your jewellery to inspire your bridesmaids look. If
your tiara has a flower design, choose hair pins which incorporate
the flowers for your bridesmaids. If you’re wearing a string of pearls,
they would complement you perfectly in a single pearl
droplet necklace.
